We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Developmen Executive to drive market engagement and new business opportunities across Europe.
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and qualifying high-quality leads that convert into sales opportunities. This role requires a mix of creativity, analytical thinking, and execution skills—from designing outreach campaigns to ensuring a steady pipeline of prospects for our sales team.
This is a hybrid position that combines remote flexibility with on-site collaboration in Malta. We are seeking candidates who are either already based in Malta or open to relocating. Please note that a valid EU work permit is required.
2+ years of experience in lead generation, research or business development (IT, SaaS, or cybersecurity industry preferred)
Strong understanding of regulated cybersecurity markets
Experience using CRM systems (Pipedrive, HubSpot) and lead generation tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, etc.)
Knowledge of lead management processes (lead scoring, nurturing, pipeline acceleration)
Track record of running digital campaigns across LinkedIn, Google Ads, and email
Excellent research and analytical skills (market sizing, competitive analysis, data validation)
Excellent communication and copywriting skills in English (Greek language skills are an asset)
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work both independently and with regional sales teams.
Experience working across multiple geographies (Malta, Cyprus, Greece) is a plus.
Research target markets and industries, and identify opportunities for expansion
Map decision-makers of the business, gather and enrich accurate contact details (LinkedIn, email, phone)
Pre-qualify leads based on business potential, compliance and readiness for engagement
Provide Sales & BD teams with lead lists and insights for targeted outreach
Generate sales leads through cold calling, digital outreach inbound campaigns, ABM, and partner channels.
Build and maintain a pipeline of marketing qualified leads (MQLs) aligned with quarterly sales targets.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align on messaging, create compelling regional content, and support webinars, events, and conferences.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and regulatory drivers (e.g., DORA) to craft relevant outreach.
Ensure CRM data quality and timely follow-up on inbound leads.
Success Metrics (What Good Looks Like)
Consistently generate and deliver qualified leads (SQLs) to the Sales team.
Achieve agreed monthly/quarterly targets for new leads and booked meetings.
Maintain strong lead-to-opportunity conversion rates.
Deliver positive feedback from Sales on the quality of leads passed on.
Keep CRM data accurate and outreach response rates above benchmarks.
