Junior Security Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Junior SOC Analyst with strong technical abilities in incident detection and response. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, investigating, and analyzing security events, ensuring that threats are quickly identified and escalated. You will work alongside a team of security professionals to safeguard our customers' infrastructure.

The role involves using SIEM platforms to manage and triage incidents, hunting for threats within customers’ environments, and contributing to overall incident response efforts. Experience with Linux (any flavor, but we use Rocky9) and scripting is highly valued.

Although the company is Malta-based, this position offers remote work opportunities.

Requirements:

• good Linux administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills;

• experience in ELK;

• a keen interest in security since this will make up a significant part of your job;

• experience in Python and Bash is very beneficial.

Your typical day would look like:

• monitoring customer's setup and troubleshooting problems;

• threat hunting and writing security reports on their results;

• maintaining and improving install scripts;

• helping to improve the product via suggestions, scripting to automate everything, containerising applications, etc.
